It’s a Mission
I know the topic of social media and social media marketing is daunting for many people. Eight months ago, it seemed formidable and inaccessible to me. I don’t have time for this, this is for kids, I’ve missed the boat on this, I don’t see the value were some of my reasons for keeping the topic at arms length. I could not have been more wrong.
At some point, and I can’t tell you when and where, I realized that I had to find out if my objections were valid and jumped in, and as is my nature, with both feet. As someone who has navigated the coursework for three graduate degrees, I’m not put off by academic exploration. More to my credit was my experience as a faculty member at Landmark College in Putney, VT.
At Landmark, 20 year ago, a college experience for students with learning differences: dyslexia and ADD primarily, I learned how to teach and parse information unique to that program. I became adept at seeing what was most important, sifting through mounds of information to the nut,
breaking it all down to bite-size, and making it accessible to my students. Sometimes with more success than at other times. Nonetheless, that is my mission.
If you’re reading this blog, then consider yourself one of my social media marketing students. My goal is to take what was once a daunting topic, and not only make it understandable for you, but create an environment that makes you want to use this tool in your business.
